On this day …….. 1st September 1895   A patient named John Moloney made his escape from the Sunbury Lunatic Asylum, Victoria, on the 1st of Sept 1895, but owing to the promptness displayed by the authorities he was captured at the Plumpton, Diggers Rest, within two house of the time of his escape.
